Phoenix Turbine DevelopmentPNGinc's turbine research & development efforts have resulted in improvements, on the order of 30% higher efficiency, to the Tesla disc turbine geometry while maintaining the ease of manufacturing and reduced production cost factors. We have built several turbines of various sizes; most were tested using compressed air. - Our present gas turbine prototypes run on propane.

demonstrator, which operated on propane. - In January 2007, PNGinc
reached a major milestone by coupling our proprietary pulse detonation
combustor technology to a small Tesla type disc turbine, and
successfully spooling it up. By February, the proof-of-principle turbine
had been closely tuned and demonstrated significantly improved
performance over initial tests.
