Release Date: December 6, 2007 This Engine Cleans the Air as it Goes!Pollution-busting automotive turbine prototype nearing completion
Munising, MI - PNGinc's World Car Initiative reached another milestone today in their drive to cut global emissions with an under-$10K turbine-powered, all-terrain hybrid car. The company's super-efficient Phoenix PDT (pulse detonation turbine) engine prototype is now 75% completed and includes the compressor, hot rotor section, case and bearing system. Installation of the remaining components, PNGinc's pulse detonation combustor & electronic controller, is underway. The new turbine is being prototyped in parallel with the company's high-efficiency, series hybrid-electric drivetrain. The Phoenix PDT engine is a significant "Greentech" solution that addresses the growing problem of urban air pollution. - It is the only engine that cleans toxic particulate matter suspended in the air as it moves the vehicle down the road. Since the 1950s, automakers have tried and failed to successfully utilize turbines in cars. Now, after decades of work in vehicle development & prototyping, PNGinc is pulling together its engine, drivetrain and ATV experience into an affordable, reliable and highly efficient turbine-electric concept car. "We've been quietly developing this turbine for over seven years," says PNGinc's CEO Ken Rieli. "Now it's close to commercial reality." This project is ready for early stage investment capital. Qualified investors are invited to contact Pam Rieli to arrange to view the project. # # # |
