Phoenix PDC (Pulse Detonation Combustion) Cycle

The Phoenix PDC, or pulse detonation combustion, technology is a proprietary burn mechanism developed in PNGinc’s labs. 

The basic unit merges proprietary disciplines in chamber construction, fuel processing, and electronic control to convert fuel and air directly into pulsed, high velocity gas – which is essential in achieving high efficiency in boundary-layer turbines. 

The Phoenix PDT Pulse Detonation Turbine merges this explosive detonation combustion cycle with our improved disk turbine technology. Our quiet, low-cost design uses over 99% of the chemical energy in fuel.
