Series hybrid, all-wheel drive vehicle.

Ken did the original concept design of this vehicle.
His Dad designed the drivetrain & sold the ATV concept to LTV.

Concept grew into the MACV - built by LTV Aerospace 1967-1968.
Ken's dad, Anthony Rieli, headed up the project.

A later version was produced for agricultural use in Asia.

The world's first volume-produced, all-purpose hybrid vehicle.

Ken Rieli was the KID Vehicle Special Projects/Materials Manager - LTV Aerospace 1969.
He also put the KID through its paces as a test driver.

New combustion models, improved geometry disk turbines, differential hydraulic systems, and novel long travel suspension systems designs emerged from PNGinc's labs.

Improved geometry Phoenix Turbines  Ken's long-travel suspension system design  Phoenix Kinetic Energy Drive (tm)

These technologies were united in the Phoenix KE Drive design, which was an improvement on the basic ATV drivetrain.
